Karate Kid vs. Karate Kid II by Greg LaRocque and Simon Gough

Greg LaRocque is one of my favorite Legion artists. His run with Paul Levitz was, in my opinion, one of the best. I think the only times Greg got to draw Val Armorr were in one flashback issue and when Val’s statue was in the background of occasional scenes. Greg designed a new costume for when Myg became Karate Kid II that I always liked, so it was an obvious choice for me to have Greg draw these two guys fighting. Thanks again to Greg for drawing this and to Bob Shaw for arranging the commission!

Myg was a master martial artist, and he will give Val a heck of a fight. But I always thought Myg was just a bit too cocky. Yes, even cockier than Val. So I think his overconfidence will help lead to his defeat. My dream would be for Paul Levitz write a flashback story set after Val’s resurrection with these two fighting, drawn of course by Mr. LaRocque.
