DescriptionOn this sketchbook page Byrne does the prelim work for a drawing based on a real event where he had drawn the Scarlet Witch where Storm should have been in an X-Men issue. (Or was it Storm in a quinjet?!). Totally understandable since he was simultaneously drawing The Fantastic Four, The Avengers AND The X-Men. The Thing/Colossus illo also saw print in The Art of John Byrne, Vol. 1.c.1978 - 11x14. Social/Sharing |

Hey Joe Very cool, I had that John Byrne book, I wish I still owned it today. Loved the Collossus/ Thing piece, it still makes me laugh today. His expression is like WTF! LOL! I don't know how Byrne or kirby kept their sanity doing multiple books. Much less the three main team books! YIKES! It gives me a tumor just thinking about it! Those were great days Byrne at his peak! Congrads!
