DescriptionI think that with Neal Adams' story arch in the Savage Land, this graphic novel remained one of my favorite X-men stories for a long, long time. Truth said, it is probably still the case today. At the time, I read that story translated in French but very soon bought the graphic novel, and got the New Mutants, the Elric story and a bunch of others. Very fond memories of reading these ... better quality (compared to the usual low-quality paper and inks used for comic books) and format graphic novels. I have several weaknesses. Wine of course, and books, and collecting. But then even more when it comes to OA: I love great sequences. And first pages. And last pages. Oh yeah, I love them too ;-) The end of page from one of my favorite X-men stories, with so many great panels: all the X-men together and this freaking dialogue: "Xavier: I feel so ashamed -- Scott: To be proven only human, as flawed and vulnerable as the rest of us? Where's the shame in that" Come on !! OK, time to go and read that graphic novel again ! Social/Sharing |

In addition to this being a fabulous page from one of the best X-Men stories ever, I really love your comments about the page and the graphic novel in general. Thank you for sharing.

I'm trying to remember, have I seen any other pages from "God Loves, Man Kills" here on CAF? I'm not sure, but viewing this one in the original black & white, the art by Brent Anderson is just beautiful, with some incredible line work & inking. Congratulations!

That shot through the window is terrific. This GN was one of those books raised the bar for the medium back in the 80s.
