Starlord 1 p5 by Michael Golden

A fantastic page of the Starlord special from 1982 by Golden & Austin. To me, that Starlord issue is the artistic pinnacle of the 80s. Claremont wrote it, Byrne pencilled it, Austin, an inker I adore, inked it over both him and Golden who provided a 8 pages sequence to introduce and conclude Byrne's story. Now in this page, Starlord's dad complains about feeling old. Now look at the second panel which is incredible as Michael Golden really drew him perfectly, with his emotion of feeling old radiating from his tired face. And the art is consistent though the rest of the page. Same goes for the psychic addressing his majesty with a body language that shows his uneasyness. Amazing art from a giant storyteller from one of the seminal books of the 80s :)
