Michael Golden is my favorite "vintage" artist if not my favorite artist ever. I fell in love with his micronauts,loved anything x-men he did,his star wars issue, his Dr Strange (and that includes his amazing portfolio) and every pages and covers he produced ever since. His Avengers Annual being of course the best. I 've been collecting and waiting for everything he's done(he's the first artist I meticulously collected). I find it of course quite sad that only few infos were available about him before he recently came out of the woods.What we knew before that though is that his name always poped up in every interview where an artist has to give his influences (I could give 20 without thinking about it) .I find amazing that an artisit with a relative small body of work influenced so many people. But then he was a superstar in the 80s too where there weren't that many. Artistically, he developped his own style in the 80s to reach a more nervous and graphic style he still uses nowadays.He still experiments whenever a new project is out with his art and graphic composition.As i wrote in my intro, I will let go of very few pieces you see here, but if you want to trade, Golden is the way to lure me :p
