The Legion of Substitute Heroes by Tom Fowler

If I remember correctly, Tom originally was going to do this piece for an auction at the 2010 Heroes Con, and had tweeted about the idea. I was excited about the idea, as I LOVE the Subs, and I e-mailed him some reference images to help him out. When he didn't finish it in time for the auction, I kept occasionally asking him about it on Twitter, and eventually sent him a down payment on the piece when he showed me his rough layout. Anyway, a few months later this shows up in my inbox and I am of course blown away. Tom has captured the spirit of the Subs perfectly here, with their sense of teamwork, their never give up attitude, and of course their imperfections. This one shall be framed and hung on a wall for all to see. Now if only DC will put Tom on a Subs miniseries!
