Shi Akai Litho uniquely remarked by Billy Tucci

I didn't realize that Billy himself answered e-mails from his Ebay store. When he wrote back to me about a simple question I had- I really was blown away. I mean, here was one of my favourite artists and he was talking to me! So of course I wrote him back to express my fan-adoration. lol

Well, the e-mails went back and forth and I gotta say that he really loves his fans and does all he can to make them happy. He put my fears to rest with this litho. He had told me that he usually just draws a little face for a remark but he also asked me for any suggestions. Looking at it, I mentioned that I think adding another butterfly would be really cool. He was like 'great idea..I'll see what I can do' and then he asked me about conventions. I told him that I have health issues that prevent me from going to them and he was very understanding. Even asked me how I was doing, so being a fan I was basically on cloud nine.

When this litho arrived, I was really dumbstruck. "Over a remarked litho?".. yeah, I can hear the questions that people might and would be thinking to themselves but the way Billy remarked it brought me to tears.

Cherry Blossoms and a SwallowTail Butterfly. Absolutely perfect both literally and symbolically. He also surprised me with a gift- something that I wasn't expecting at all. That will go up very soon. :)

I don't mean to ramble on about a remarked litho but it really does mean the world to me when an artist isn't jaded by the industry. Being a fan of Billy's for a long time and not knowing what to expect, it was a really great experience to talk to him. Something that I'll never forget.
