Description
After learning that I had prearranged a commission with Dustin Weaver for the ECCC 2011, my brother asked me to get him in on that as well. The idea for the subjects of this piece hit Jim like a thunderbolt, and the results hit me the same way. Look at those background buildings! Thanks, Dustin!

Actually, with villains like Maxi Zeus and King Tut, a villain who thinks he is an evil version of Da Vinci, considering the mythology Bob Kane created around Batman's artistic origins, sounds like a pretty cool idea. I tip my hat to all concerned on this one.

Jim's choice seemed to really resonate with Dustin, as he delivered something that is the perfect synergy of dramatic layout, ultra-fine detail, and harnessed visual electricity throughout. Dustin deftly toys with the stone-cold hues within the tonal shadings on these larger-than-life protagonists, and the net effect elevates this piece to a cover-worthy affair. I'm in awe of this commission!

This is AWESOME!!! Saw it in person, and Jim, for some reason, wouldn't let me keep it...
