DescriptionGene Gonzales nailed the assignment of combining my favorite costume elements from the Amazing Amazon's long history.I've always liked the idea of Diana in a skirt -- it adds lightness and femininity to her style. I also like the lace-up slippers that were her footwear of choice throughout the 1950s. And I'm partial to her original eagle-patterned bustier over the WW logo of more recent designs. Best of all, Gene drew her smiling... remember when it was okay for superheroes to smile? Social/Sharing |

Nice simple lines and a wonderful Silver Age feel to it...and, yes, I remember when heroes could smile
