Description

As a child of the 70's I landed right smack in the middle of the GI Joe Adventure Team years. Sales being off because of the Vietnam war they pushed Joe away from being a military outfit into being more of an adventure one. So they went and introduced not only their own super-hero, Bulletman, and their own version of the 6 Million Dollar Man, Atomic Man, but went as far as coming up with an alien menace for Joe to fight, the Intruder. This is where I came in. ~Loved~ the whole thing. Played with these guys for, like, hours and clearly remember asking my mom to make outfits for GI Joe from patterns that she bought. There was more fringe on them then actual clothing.

Benito had done such a great job with just that pin-up of these guys that I asked him to do something else. I'd suggested Egypt and the Sphinx and he went all out with a full scale assault. I love the John Buscmena influence on Benito's work and think this came out just fantastic. Original size 11x17
