Description

Spectacular original cover painting for Comic Book Marketplace #94, for the feature cover article entitled "The Avenger of Blood" by fan favorite Frank Brunner. This moody and atmospheric image depicts the awesome Spectre as he is about to pour out his apocalyptic vengeance upon planet earth. Rendered in full oil (in 1995) on heavy board and measuring a large 18" x 24".

Brunner rose to prominently in the late 1970's with such titles as Doctor Strange, Man-Thing and Howard the Duck.
