To me, this does not look like a prelim. Because of the amazing details and 'dark' mood- it's perfect the way it is. When pencil work is this good, colour is not needed. :)

Thanks Holly, Since it is not a commission or a convention sketch, it seemed like prelim was the best category since tom turned it into a painting.

Thank you for letting me know about Tom's commissions. He's been on my 'want' list for a while. I understand why it's a prelim- please don't think I was being critical. It's just that I am not even familiar with this character at all and the work is soo good that it didn't even matter. If this was ever offered to me.. I'd love to add it to my collection. :)

Holly, I never took it as criticism, I appreciate your giving me a reason to explain why I was compelled to list it as a prelim. Dr Mid-Nite is from the original JSA. Keep in mind there is a modern Dr Mid Nite with a slightly differnt uniform.

While I am not inclined to sell this, I am sure Tom could you whip you up something just as special. Ask for the Earth 2 character.
