Oh what fun it was to see Peter Parker beat up the fat guy. Kingpin is a useless villain. The desperate attempts over the years to make him threatening are really funny. The closest to success are the Miller Born again stuff and this. What fun the civil war reveal and this storyline was. Then they spoiled it all as they used a frankly risible explanation on how to make the reveal of his identity go away. The producers of that travesty should have been locked away. At that point I gave up reading Spider-Man comics in disgust.
