DescriptionAs a kid, Disney's 20,000 Leagues was a real favorite of mine. I even wrote a silly sketch about it for SNL back in the 90's-- Kelser Grammar was Nemo, and Phil Hartman played KirK Douglas who thought they were 20,000 leagues was a depth not a distance. Anyway, I told my love of the subject matter to Mark Schultz when we were discussing, and this was the result. I could not be happier.Social/Sharing |

Drool, sigh, cuddle....this piece just makes me want to suck my thumb and hide under a blanket, knowing I'll never be this good of an artist. Great snag, David!

Absolutely amazing piece by Schultz. Not only did my brothers and I share the same excitement as you for the movie but the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom ride in Orlando was always a must see everytime we went to Florida to visit the park. Fantastic memories!!!

Jules Verne was amazing. 20,000 Leagues under the Sea was written in 1870! Mark's work is just as amazing and much more beautiful. Congratulations.

I remember that SNL sketch and got a kick out of seeing it because this was one of my favorites from Disney when I was a kid. As for the commission, all I can say is, Wow!
