Vampirella #29 page by Fernando Fernandez

I got this art from the widow of Fernando. It was among the art she had when I visited with her in Barcelona with a friend. Up until that point I had not heard of Fernando Fernandez and so I wasn't ready for how uneducated I was or how great his art was. This page stood out for me at the time even though I didn't know where it was from. It is quite large. The painted panels are not paste-ons but painted directly on the same board as the delicate pen work of the rest of the piece. I love the line work of the Spanish artists that worked for Warren and how the linework flows from panel to panel and from element to element. This is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.
