DescriptionI have been on the hunt for a nice Ernie Chan Hulk for quite a while. I let one of Ernie's watercolor pieces on eBay go a couple years ago and have regretted it since (that piece can be seen in Doyle K Davis's gallery). I have come close a few times to having Ernie do a commission for me but I knew I would also prefer the watercolor that Ernie was doing during his run on the Hulk comic. Couldn't be happier with this one!Social/Sharing |

Very cool Dave! I was watching this on Ebay as well but I lost track of the end time. Congrats!

I was going to bid on this, but forgot about it until the auction was over. Glad it went to a gamma groupie! :D

Ernie Chan did one of my favorite Hulk covers ever, so it's always great to own a vintage piece from him. Having this in color is a bonus!

Although Ernie Chan is renowned for his great work on both Batman & Conan, it's the work he did on "The Hulk" magazine, back in the day, that I really dug the most. This here's a sweet score. Thanks for sharing.

This is an INCREDIBLE piece by my favorite inker on the Hulk series.
Chans inks over Sal were the best in my opinion , I wish that run was longer then it was.

Thanks! Chan was an extemely talented inker and, even though the styles didnt appear to be a good mix, he was great over Sal's pencils! He wasnt too shabby with a pencil abd brush as well!

So cool, just love Chan's vintage color pinups, and this is why, congrats!

Thanks! Ernie's pieces from this era are stunning - they pop up from time to time but don't last long.
