DescriptionI am thrilled! I remember talking my local comic shop guy into selling me a large wall poster of this image signed by Neal. This was back in like 1983. I have wanted this piece for a very long time so I couldn't believe it when it popped up in the last Heritage. It's huge and better with age!Social/Sharing |

Big congratulations to you. This is Neal at his peak. His pen and ink were at their best in 73 - 75.

All the Savage Sword covers by Neal were beyond belief...super artwork as always Tom. Congrats!!!!

OH_MY_GOD!!!!! I love, love, love, love, love, this image! So much so that I have multiple copies of the magazine and a bunch of the retail posters (that I was lucky enough to score at a warehouse sale). I even framed one! Congrats on an excellent Heritage score! I'll take this over a 500k Miller splash any day of the week and twice on Sunday! I'll be forever envious Tom!

I had to buy this comic years later from a comic shop or at a convention because, well, I was only 8 or 9 when this came out and I was not allowed to, nor was I tall enough to reach up to the upper shelves where the comic, horror, detective and other more "mature" genre magazines congregated a safe distance away from us kiddies. But I could see them and, oh, how I wanted to peek inside this one. Congratulations on being "tall enough" to reach for a cover like this.

Great memories for me as well, Tom. This was my first Marvel Magazine and I was shocked that they even existed when I stumbled across this one. Just a brilliant cover and vintage Neal Adams! Congrats, my friend.
