Description
Have you ever wanted an original piece of art that you knew you'd never be able to buy, but if you saw a reproduction that was just as good, you had to have it? That was the case with this Bob Layton 11x17 cover recreation of Iron Man 256 for Brian. One of Brian's favorite covers by one of his favorite Iron Man artist - this one was a no brainer! Purchased directly from Mr. Layton.

Ha! Interesting to see an artist do a recreation of a piece by ANOTHER artist. Cool, but sort of weird too. Anyway, I actually do remember seeing the original Romita Jr. version for sale back in 1991 I think (comic was published in May 1990). Don't know why I didn't just buy it. Most likely I was broke, as usual. LOL! Anyway, nice piece. Good to know that Layton can not only do Layton, he can do JR Jr. as well. =)

Congrads very nice, I loved the original. But this recreation is just as cool! It was a simple cover, but one of old shellhead's best.

Another great recreation by Bob. As the owner of the original, I have to say that this is stellar work. I have another recreation of this piece by Al Bigley too!
