Description
This was Frazetta's last comic story, and it was a doozy. I just love Frazetta's pen and ink and wash work from this period of his career, and as much as I LOVE the smaller Canaveral plates done just a few years prior, the large size of these Creepy pages just gives the art a real presence. I am really proud to own this piece, and my fondness of Frazetta's work increases with each and every year.

I've been collecting for about 13 years now and my main focus was always on the comic art that I grew up with when I collected comics. I've never really bought or collected anything by Frazetta, but even if you never did buy anything directly, you couldn't escape his work or it's impact. This is just a fantastic example of a legendary artists. I hope one day to own just a small example of his genius.

What a beautiful and unique FF example! I'm fascinated by so many of his choices in this, especially the way he controlled the composition with his values, such as that white hat and the cast shadow he completely left out under one of the legs in the bottom panel. The composition, dynamism of the figures, and facial expressions are great and I love the way he evokes the jungle with a couple perfect indications of foliage.

It's a word I save for art that defies any other descriptive attempts! Other recipients: Frazetta Weird Science-Fantasy #29 cover, the occasional Kirby silver age splash, Steranko panel art... throwing it around casually would cheapen the word!

But adequate is not an adequate compliment. Some wag might say in.....Did I run out of space or lettering, or was I being inadequate?
