Description

Elizabeth Torque's first published piece will be the cover to ZOMBIES Vs. CHEERLEADERS #6 which she has displayed on her DeviantArt site as “Go Tigers Go!” It is for "Moonstone," based on the hit sketch card series from 5FINITY Productions. When I asked Elizabeth if she would sell me the cover she said, "At the time I talked to the editor and it seemed right that I expose the original for sale... in August," but since I asked for it in July, 2011, she gave me the price and offered it to me for sale. I snapped it up and also bought the cover preliminary, which I like even better than the finished original. The comic book was listed in the November 2011 Diamond Previews on page 289 and went on sale April 4th, 2012. Check out the additional images for the prelim and for the art as coloured for publication by Elizabeth.

I like the line variants in the hair and the big, expressive eyes in particular. I'll be intrigued to see if you'll be sharing the prelim, and how it varies.

The scan of the prelim should be up soon, Mark. I could scan one myself, but I'm waiting to see if Elizabeth wants to give me one with her website address on it, as she has the others. The main difference is the softness of the rendering and volume to the pencil hair definition, which I think improves the piece immensely. Elizabeth's colour version will likely show the best of both worlds.
