Description
Forager vs. Ulik by Mike Rooth

Mike did such an excellent job on the his Karate Kid commision that I knew I would be getting more from him. I remember him one day saying he'd love to draw Ulik or Surtur, and then later he drew that awesome Forager sketch card, so that led me to commissioning him for this matchup. And oh boy did he deliver! I love everything about this piece, from the cave setting to the little Kirby dots around Forager's wrist launcher to the hair around Ulik's ankles. Just a fantastic drawing. Thanks again, Mike!

Ulik is bigger and vastly stronger than him, but Forager is faster and smarter and therfore has a chance in this fight. I doubt Forager could hurt Ulik much directly, but if he shot some of his acid pods into Ulik's eyes, he could blind him and maybe trick Ulik into hitting a cave wall and cause a cave-in on himself. BUT, if Ulik gets his hands on Forager or connects with a blow, it will probably be all over for the bug.

If you like this piece then please do go to Mike's website and commission him yourself.

I always thought that Ulik and Kalibak kind of resembled each other. At any rate, this is a great piece and typifies what a wonderfully fun gallery you have here.

This was a ton of fun to draw, I really enjoyed my work that day.
