2011 has been a great year for me in terms of accomplishing longterm collecting goals. I've yearned for a page of art from every artist to work on Grant Morrison's New X-Men series, and thanks to Spencer at www.theartistschoice, I now own this beautiful example featuring the inimitable Beak in his first Danger Room appearance! This was my first exposure to Ethan Van Sciver and Prentiss Rollins' art, and I love their page layouts and the fine inking. Also, Beak's incredibly appropriate wardrobe choice :)

Brilliant page - you don't even miss Morrison's awesome captions/words with this one... :) Loved this moment in the book. This title was my first exposure to Van Sciver's work as well. I felt my mind being blown on two levels every month, by both story AND art; not only in how they worked together in telling the funky stories they did, but about how they would work separately - about the remarkable individual talents they each would bring to the table in their own right... Super page, man. Super cool.
