I like the unused cover better. The Wonder Woman in the published version have an awkward stand. Congrat to you for a gem of a find.

Thanks, I defintely agree. This one was sent to the publisher (it has their official stamp on the back), but was not used.

HOLY CRAP!!!!! You obviously got the better of the two my friend. By far! I mean, it's not even close. And it has nothing to do with an awkward pose, as TTC puts it. Just a bad drawing, plain and simple. Look at Wonder Woman's leg on the pubished cover! Horrible! Apparently the first version was submitted and rejected (for whatever stupid reason) and the second version was just a rushed hack job! Good eye buddy! Congrats!

They probably used the other cover because Deodato was a bigger star then and had made his mark on the WW franchise.

I've always liked this unpublished cover more than the original. Great piece.

Ed Benes did so much wonderful work for DC and i am just starting to become aware of this. i'm happy you added the actual cover. as i originally thought this was WW vs Zealot from wildcats fame. which is also cool.
