Description

I met Sam Campos at the 2011 Kawaii Kon in Hawai'i. Sam is a local artist and the creator of "Pineapple Man", a self-published comic he did in the mid-1990s. I bought a couple of his old comics from him and saw a couple of portfolios he had lying at his table. I asked if he'd consider doing a piece for me, and he was happy to oblige. I left a sheet of bristol with him, and late Saturday evening he presented me with this. It's a great rendition of his Pineapple Man characters Sam Pahoa and Miyo on the beach in Hawai'i. Great guy with great talent.
