Karate Kid vs. Batwoman by Drew Moss

Drew did such a great job on my Kent Shakespeare and Laurel Kent commission that I knew I wanted another piece from him. I gave him a few choices for Karate Kid's opponent and Drew went with Batwoman. I'm always excited to see new and unique layouts for these commissions and Drew did not disappoint. I love the dual kicks and the cape as the background. Great stuff.

Kate Kane is one tough customer and an excellent fighter, but she does not stand a chance. She might dodge or roll with the first couple of blows, and her gadgets and weapons might buy her a few seconds, but Val Armorr is gonna take her down.

The illusory sense of depth and three-dimensionality is really impressive considering the limited compositional elements involved. Drew really came up with a clever way to showcase both combatants while ramping up the action and the artistic innovation. What I like even more about this creation is how dramatically it contrasts in both tone and execution from your other Moss commission. Clearly, Drew is a creator to watch. Very nice piece, Travis!

Agreed, I love how the characters feet start at the same point but their bodies and limbs are going in different directions. Almost as if their dancing. The composition fills the page nicely. Congrats, Travis!!
