Suicide Squad Cover Commission

This was a commission done for Bill Cox, featuring the 1960s Suicide Squad flying in the Hiller Flying Platforms and facing down a giant snake in Paris! I really enjoyed the challenge of drawing the Eiffel Tower and snake from this overhead Point of View, and I also enjoyed drawing this one in the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES style. Back in the late '90s I was hired by DC Comics Licensing to draw BATMAN: ANIMATED SERIES children's books, so it was fun to draw the characters this way. This piece was drawn on 11"X17" bristol, and was inked with a Raphael Kolinsky Red Sable brush and SuperBlack India Ink! This was one of my favorite commission projects to date! Thanks, Bill!
