Description

This artwork was done by Alex Lei. I picked this up not only because the theme was sort of funny and obscure, but because the artist was Alex Lei, who as most may remember, was the artist for the Supergirl "Many Happy Returns" storyline that ended the series, but also resurged major interest in the character, written by Peter David, penciled by Ed Benes and inked by Alex Lei. That storyline ran from Supergirl #75 - #80.

Alex Lei helped define the style of Ed Benes at the time as his inker, and you can see the mutual influence of Benes to Lei here in this piece drawn completely by Alex Lei.

I have no idea where this piece came from, I bought it off of eBay in October 2011. I'm sure it wasn't a DC tryout page, and most certain it was never published given the context of how the character is being depicted. I'm guessing it was either a commission or simply a fun piece Alex Lei drew.

There were two (2) pieces of similar theme, I'm not even sure if they're sequential in story layout. They're drawn on 11" x 17" comic art boards, and I'm referring to them as:
