He-Man vs. Skeletor by Frank Brunner

I contacted Frank Brunner directly after seeing some of his impressive Dr. Strange and Conan work. I have no idea how I managed to stroll through 20 years of comic book dealing/collecting and somehow not have been instantly attracted to Frank's work! It didn't take long to get hooked!

He was gracious enough to accept my commission request, despite the fact that he rarely (if ever) is asked to do He Man. I definately knew he was the man for the job. I wanted a great battle scene with Grayskull in the background, and I wanted it much more in line with the barbarian roots of the characters, as opposed to the cartoon that it became. Mr. Brunner's experience with the skulls, mystic forces and Conan (and let's face it, He Man is a cheap knock off of Conan!), this piece wsa destined to turn out beautifully!

As great as it looks in the scan, it's 10 times better in person! I think the pencils only rendition adds to the piece.
