Description
How It Began by Paul F. Berdanier - (United Feature Syndicate, Inc.) Daily, 1936 (Platinum-Age)
Distributed by United Feature Syndicate, Inc. here is a nice VERY SCARCE example of the short-lived comic strip How It Began (1933-1936) by Paul F. Berdanier (1879-1961) depicting the origins of Civil Law and Fuller's Earth. An American etcher, painter , illustrator, and cartoonist, Mr. Berdanier studied art under Charles Hope Provost in New York, Gustave Wolff at the School of Fine Arts in St. Louis, and under Albert Gihon in Paris. Well listed in Who’s Who in American Art, the works of Paul F. Berdanier are included in the permanent collections of many museums in both America and France.
