Description

For those of you that grew up in the 70s, this was the 1974 issue that kicked off all those "Giant-Size" comics that Marvel put out as an answer to DC's 100-page Super Spectaculars. It became Giant Size Fantastic Four with issue #2.

When I was young my family took a cross country road trip from California to Toronto and right before we left I dodged into a 7-11 and picked up this comic and three others off the spinner rack. I must have read this comic back-to-back about a hundred times on that trip and it remains one of my favorite Hulk/Thing match-ups.

Easily one of the top 10 pieces on the entire site! I also read this issue over and over and is one of my all-time fave H vs T fights! Congrats!

The cover is awesome, but no less awesome than the story!! Congratulations times a million on getting this childhood memory.

PS - As Dog is my witness, I've never seen this cover. Can't believe it...
