DescriptionSo fellow GCA member, Jerry Livengood, reached out to the group asking who wanted something from a local Portland show a few months back that he was attending. I've been wanting something from Lopresti and tried sending him the money but there was an issue. My money never made it there in time. Being that Mr. Livengood reps some very talented people I went fishing through his stable of artists narrowing it down to 3 finally decided on Mr. Taylor out of Ireland. Darren knocked this out of the park, out of the stadium and out of Ireland. I can't thank him enough for his talent and energy. I LOVE it!! And a big thanks goes out to Jerry for making this an easy transition. Wow! Talk about a serendipitous score. I like Mr. Lopresti's work as much as the next guy, but I think that even he would have had a hard time outdoing this magnificent commission by Darren. This ranks among your very best to date. Way to ring in the new year with style, Patrick!

I don't think this concept could have been captured as successfully by any other artist!! The angst of Freeze while being haunted by Nora- LOVE IT!!! In my opinion, this is one of your best pieces. :)

Love this! Not familiar with the artist..but this piece makes me want to see more by Darren. A big Congrats on a wonderful commission!

Great illo of Nora and the Mr! Her ethereal presence is a delightful contrast to his stoney demeanor.

Patrick this is amazing, the density/"cold" lost feeling of Freeze is amazing. The hair details is WOW! I also like the inking and the difference made between Freeze and Nora. This tempts me a lot/asking a commission. Congrats and many thanks for sharing

I love a good Freeze piece as you know but the Freeze with Nora themed pieces are even better . Nice addition again my friend

I'm so glad you took the suggestion. This piece broke open the flood gates for Darren this year, and I think this piece is the beginning of something huge.
