This is the Bringing Up Father daily for February 4, 1941, featuring Nora, Jiggs, Maggie, their dog and others, notably some homely beauticians. Anticipating Mad Magazine and others, McManus put odd gag bits in his backgrounds, like the gent poking out of a manhole to tip his hat at a lady.
