The Birthday Collection - 1953 - The Saint by John Spranger

Here's the first one from before I was born. Over a decade, in fact. A really nice piece that shows a lot of re-working. Simon Templar's image in the last panel has been completely re-worked (the original has been cut out) and "Olga" has been pasted over otherwise empty space. (She's not a stat, though.)

Additionally, the title *and* the credits have been whited over and re-worked and the copyright date originally read "1952".

The only bad news is that, yet again, this art was damaged, not in transit (which I'd be irritated by, but it happens), but by the method in which the seller packaged it. It was sandwiched between the folds of a piece of cardboard (instead of between two separate pieces) and the art got caught in the fold. You can see the spanking new crease that runs along the top in a photo below.
