Karate Kid vs. Thor by Dan McDaid

Dan and I had been talking about him doing a piece for my "Karate Kid vs." collection a while back when he was working on another commission for me, but we never did decide on an opponent. Later I saw a drawing he did of Thor and asked if he'd be interested in a Karate Kid vs. Thor commission and away we went! I really like how Dan made it an aerial fight since both characters can fly, and the storm raging around them looks awesome. I also really love the sound effect and how Dan drew the wings on Thor's helmet. Big thanks again to Dan for drawing another killer commission for me!

This would be a fun fight since Val Armorr is a master of zero-g martial arts and Thor is a warrior with thousands of years of fighting experience. If Val can make Thor lose his hammer, it will be on. Maybe by some nerve strikes to his wrists and arms? But if Thor connects with Mjolnir I fear it will be all over for Karate Kid.

Wow! I love the whole vibe from this piece. Dan issues forth a heaping helping of suspense in this one. I'm interested to see how KK is able to block/dodge that nasty looking blow that Thor is about to deliver. Great delivery, Dan!

Great piece, my friend!! I cannot fathom how Karate Kid can take out the God of Thunder, but I'm sure it would be a lot of fun to see him try.
