It's always nice top pick up a new Cypher card, moreso when it'd for an iteration of him that only appeared in one story. The X-Calibre mini-series that came out as a part of the Age of Apocalypse crossover event featured Doug Ramsey as one of the key members of the the team.

In this altered timeline Doug was the adopted son of Destiny (Irene Adler) and it was thanks to his (slightly different) powers that the mutant haven of Avalon was able to function, since his "translation field" allowed mutants from all over the world to communicate freely. Alas it did not end well for him.
