Karate Kid vs. Batman by Norm Breyfogle and Simon Gough

So yeah, this finally happened. When I started reading Batman books the artists were Norm Breyfogle, Jim Aparo and Graham Nolan. Those guys defined what Batman looked like to me and I am a huge fan of all of their art. So when I had the opportunity to get this commission from Norm at Wizard World New Orleans 2012 I was ecstatic. And this piece is even better than I expected. I love the cape and the motion lines. And Norm did a great job of showing how two martial arts masters could both attack and block at the same time. Later Simon Gough made this piece look even more incredible by adding some gorgeous colors. Thanks again, Norm and Simon!

As for how I think this fight would go . . . well, if it's just a straight martial arts fight, Val Armorr will win. He's a better fighter than Batman. But Batman's a better everything else, and he fights dirty, AND he has that utility belt. So this would be epic.

Sooooooo lucky to get this from Norm. I'd love to be able to have full commission from him. Very cool and I'm very jealous.

Let's see, Batman is the Greatest Man Who Never Lived, and the other guy is named after a Ralph Macchio film. Batman for the win!! (Yeah, I know, the film actually needed permission to use the "Karate Kid" name). ;-)

How can I hate it now...? Kidding...;-) This is fantastic of course - you really got the right guy for the job ! I'd have loved to see a whole sequence of this cool fight scene...

Not only am I amazed at this awesome piece by Breyfogle, I'm amazed at how you keep coming up with these interesting opponents for Karate Kid to fight!
