This is truly lovely with great compositional skill

Wow! Not very many people know about Edgar Church at all, much less collect his paintings! This is a gorgeous example of his style. I love his use of flat colors here, relying only on the colors themselves to create a sense of depth. The solitary bi-plane crossing over the lake is a simple and clean composition, like all his work. I love the image of the full moon rising over the horizon and reflecting in the lake. The dimness of the scene is idyllic and tranquil. Stunning pick-up, congrats!
