Description

Avengers #15 (original run) is my all-time favorite comic book. I love EVERYTHING about it. I won't bore you with the personal story of why I feel this way, but it's very dear to me. For years I looked for any artwork from this comic. But despite my quest, I found nothing. So I did the next best thing and asked my friend (and great comic book artist) John Hebert to re-create the cover for me.) What he turned in is a masterpiece. Talk about 'mixed media', he penciled, inked, colored, and painted it in various areas. He even put the word baloons and titles on a cel overlay to create a 3-D look. (Not that you can tell looking at the photo. The art is framed, making a great photo very hard to produce.) John, by the way is a pleasure to work with, and this experience was no different. The piece is large, colorful, dynamic, and portrays the classic confrontation between the Avengers and the Masters of Evil where the original Baron Zemo bought it. Enjoy...!
