"The Adventures of Cellini", page 31

The pages from 1947 were in a miserable state when I got the artwork from the auction. Just about all captions and word balloons were loose but on the first pages somebody had glued the loose portions back with a horrible glue and most often slightly out of place. After a while that person had lost interest and left the pages mostly alone, but even here on page 31 there was still one badly reattached balloon, which I managed to pry loose after a hard struggle. On the additional image you can see what the page looks like without the pieces of text. Miraculously only a handful of text pieces were missing throughout the story.
