The pages from 1947 were in a miserable state when I got the artwork from the auction. Just about all captions and word balloons were loose but on the first pages somebody had glued the loose portions back with a horrible glue and most often slightly out of place. After a while that person had lost interest and left the pages mostly alone. On the additional image you can see what the page looks like without the pieces of text. Miraculously only a handful of text pieces were missing throughout the story.
