Each page of Bruno Premiani's epic adaptation of Bernal Diaz del Castillo's 16th-century recounting of the conquest of Mexico has an approximate image area of 12" x 18". Immaculate research resulted in impressive authenticity of both conquistador accoutrements and Aztec architecture. Premiani is probably best known for his work on Doom Patrol between 1963 and 1968.
