Description

One of my favorite things about Batman is the contradiction of him saying he is alone yet he has mentored so many other heroes. Alan took that idea and created this piece that he called "Under his wing". The pencils are amazing. Beautiful and with a depth that cannot be appreciated from a scan. The movement of the figures, the shot of Gotham Bay. The specter of the Joker. This one is pure magic.

A joyful depiction of the world's greatest crime fighter accompanied by two very capeable sidekicks. Great image of the Joker looming to temper that joy. This is a great Alan Davis artwork.
