Description

Now this is when I throw out the word GRAIL! Purchased directly from Michael at Spectrum Fantastic Arts Live 2012. To say I own a Whelan never entered my mind, to say I own an Elric Whelan was crazy talk. But here it is. Michael painted this recently in 2012 and had it for sale at SFAL. 3 cover artists helped form the reading habits in my youth, Frazetta with Conan and Kull, James Bama with Doc Savage and Michael Whelan with Elric. To be able to say I own two of these three blows my mind. BTW- this is 9"x12" and acrylic on canvas.

There are images that evoke an epic meaning to the soul.. grabs hold and inspiration is born. This is one of them. A true work of art. My sincerest congratulations to another spectacular addition.

Thanks! It's been 4 years and I still pinch myself over my good luck for being at the show and not having someone grab it up while I was trying to decide to buy it.
