I need to apologize for not telling you in my 2024 comment just how incredible this painting is. The colors on Doc and how Boris did the mist is stunning!
Hard to believe it's coming up on 40 years ago I purchased this and page 12 from him!
Beautiful addition. It's been to long since I last saw Phil or gotten anything new.
One of his best! Great idea to float the art to enjoy it in it's entirety.
Great cover painting. Back in 2006 I purchased Boss of Terror and had the choice of that, Red Terrors, and I think the Angry Ghost. The owner also had The Roar Devil but wasn't selling at the time.
Thank you. Purchased both pages directly from Charles Vess back in 2001 off his website.
Charles signed the pages and I met Jeff at 2 different cons to get them signed.
I had to have red dragon represented!
Wow this is a gorgeous example of James Bama's Doc Savage. Not sure how I missed this being on display for 2 years, but I'll be enjoying it now. Congratulations!
It has! It's on the wall in front of me that I look at it every day!
Beautiful piece. I apreciate when people add a description, especially when it's as interesting a story as yours!
What a beautiful illustration to be able to look at day after day! Congratulations on the find.
Such an iconic representation of Mr. Bama's work! I'm just thrilled to know it survived!
Thanks! It's been 4 years and I still pinch myself over my good luck for being at the show and not having someone grab it up while I was trying to decide to buy it.
Welcome Volkan! This commission was my introduction into your incredible world. When I saw this posted on CAF I had to learn all I could about you. So glad I did!
Michael, This is based on Benedict Cumberbatch not JRM. I wanted Brian to envision the upcoming movie version.
Excellent cover! This is only the 2nd Pfeiffer Doc I've ever seen. And the glaring missing artist in my collection!
Definitely worth sitting out a con (or 2) for this one!
WOW! You guys always get incredible commissions. I love her work and love this piece!
What a wonderful commission! These ladies are incredible together. Two great people creating great art!
WOW, how'd I miss this update? I'm not a MTG player so I've not seen this image before. Exceptional painting by Volkan!
Wonderful page! I was considering between the one I have and this one way back in the day. Yours has an awesome large Batman. I went with the one I picked for the dialogue.
Hey stranger! In all the years I've known Brian I've only gotten 2 inked pieces and this watercolor. I did get a watercolor Captain America a few years ago at FCBD but that was a surprise birthday gift for my son while he was in Iraq. I've not been as lucky as some, but I'm very happy with what I have!
This is absolutely gorgeous! The colors are stunning. Another masteripece from Raoul.

I loved Jerry's Truth covers. In fact they got me to buy the books for my son to read. Always loved this one. Hope it's in a good home!
Beautiful page, and it was signed by Paul Neary too. That's a bit rare!
Arnie, hahah, well maybe hosting a party for thousands kept you just a little preoccupied? The only time I saw you not in motion was when you and Cathy were signing my SFAL2 books. At least I got to thank you for bringing out your Bama Doc Savage! And thank you for organizing another great gathering of incredible artists.
Anna, Hello! I've owned this one since 2001 at least. I was just browsing thru my portfolios and realized several pages that I hadn't scanned and posted. The 4 I put up last night are all ones I felt needed to be shared.
Yildiray created another jem! Congratulations on a spectacular commission!
Ben, Actually I've owned this for 10-15 years. Just realized I never posted it! I believe it was an eBay win.
Kelvin - that's what I said! Can't believe I actually waited 5 hours before pulling the trigger.
Well lucky for me Arnie you were just a little busy putting on an amazing show!
Glad I was able to see this in person at NYCC before you picked it up! It's a real beauty all right!
