AMETHYST by TIM FISH

This drawing was made I think in 2009 by Tim during the Angouleme Festival and he gave it to me as a gift (we shared a booth, as we do each year).
He draw Amethyst because I spoke to him about working on a Ernie Colon issue of the mag I'm the editor of (SCARCE, a french mag on US comics, published since 1983). I discovered that, as me, he was a big fan of the Amehtyst mpaxi-serie and the character. :)

So he drew her and I kept from posting this drawing anywhere because I thought this would make the perfect cover for our Ernie Colon issue, as it would feature also an article/interiew of Tim.

Enter 2011, as we released at least issue 77 of Scarce, focusing on Ernie Colon. I asked Tim to ad some characters, Frédéric Grivaud colored and paste the whole thing and ta...da, we had a gorgeous cover!
