Thanks Glynn. Back in 1973 when i was 12 years old, my dad took me to see the movie and after it was over i stood in front of the movie poster in the lobby and looked so intensely at it and was amazed at how cool it was compared to how crappy the movie was. And then to actually own the original art almost forty years later! I could have never imagined.

thanks! if you read my little story above in Glynn's comment it explains how i first saw the art and was taken away by it. it's a little strange owning it now if i think back as a kid looking at the poster.

Spectacular! I don't think I've ever seen this one before. Everything is perfectly indicated in this otherworldly painting --- I love the figures, vehicle, creatures, atmospherics, and everthing else about it.
