Phil Hale: Renege [Johnny Bad Hair]

Phil painted this as the Call For Entries poster for Spectrum #13. Having let one of his C4E poster paintings slip through our fingers once before (for Spectrum #6), we struck the deal for the original before he started painting. (Can't be too careful.) There are several roughs Phil created leading up to the finish (which is pretty SOP for Phil) that are in other collections, but final is uniquely Johnny. It was exhibited at the Museum of American Illustration in 2009 at the Spectrum show and was used as the cover of one of his Sparrow collections from IDW.
