DescriptionThis charming Gasoline Alley daily, dated September 17, 1921, depicts Walt washing and hanging clothes at the campsite at Yellowstone National Park. Walt talks about the wonderful sights and things there are to do in the park, ending on a sweetly patriotic note. This daily is from the sequence in which Walt, baby Skeezix, Doc and his wife Hazel, all traveled out west. King himself made such a trip, drawing and mailing these strips out to the Chicago Tribune from the road. Social/Sharing |
