Description

Al Williamson - Alien Meeting - I bought and received two items from Russ Cochran's June 2012 auction. There were several Al Williamson pieces, including this unpublished commission. This piece is drawn on bristol -- and is 8" x 12". Russ Cochran told me that "Ray, the two Williamson pieces were consigned by Jack Promo of Detroit, who was an old friend of mine and Al's."

I asked Cori Williamson about this piece and she was kind enough to reply, "I remember Al working on ALIEN MEETING but I don't know what it was for. I have a copy of it on Al's drawing table... I think it... could have been a commission piece."

Great piece Ray! Sure looks like it was laid out as a cover for something, with all that open area at the top. Perfect for a title/logo. Congrats!
