This is the original cover art painting used for the dust jacket on Janet Asimov's "The Package in Hyperspace." An approximately one-inch white border surrounds the image area. The painting is initialed by Gampert just to the right of the main character's left hand, and is additionally signed in full to the bottom margin, dated 1988. John Gampert has done numerous illustrations in the science fiction and fantasy field. This painting is acrylic on artists' paper and measures 7" by 11" inches. While not framed, this painting has been matted with museum quality / acid-free matting, and has a piece of UV-resistant acrylic cut to size for it. It is matted with a double window, one displaying the dustjacket itself.

Janet Asimov is the notable author of the Norby series, and the wife of famed Isaac Asimov. This title was published by Walker and Company in 1988.
